PQE Partners are representing a highly regarded national commercial and property law firm, known for their deep expertise across strata and community titles, property development and litigation. As the firm continues its expansion, an opportunity has arisen to join the growing Melbourne team in a graduate or junior lawyer role.
This is a unique chance to work directly under an experienced and well-respected Special Counsel who is building out the Melbourne practice. She is hands-on, supportive and genuinely committed to mentoring junior lawyers. You’ll work closely with her, and alongside some of Australia’s top practitioners in this space – on a high-quality mix of litigation, advisory, and commercial property matters.

Key Responsibilities
You will support across a diverse range of property-related disputes and advisory matters, including:
- Strata and community title disputes (with a focus on Victorian legislation)
- Property development, insurance, leasing and general property law
- Construction disputes and broader contractual issues
- Debt recovery and enforcement
- Drafting legal correspondence, court documents and client advice
- Attending court hearings and preparing materials for both interlocutory and final hearings
- Briefing counsel and assisting with witness and expert evidence
- Managing your own files with growing responsibility
About You
You will ideally have:
- A completed law degree and either admission or eligibility for admission in Victoria
- A strong interest in property law
- Ideally a background in litigation
- A proactive self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced and collaborative environment
- Excellent attention to detail and a genuine desire to build a career in this specialist area
