This is a senior, hands-on role that will see you lead the legal function independently while working closely with senior stakeholders across treasury, lending and risk. It’s an opportunity to step into a key leadership position in a high-growth non-bank lender with complex, interesting work.

As Head of Legal, you will:
- Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with business goals.
- Ensure compliance with Australian regulatory requirements, including the Corporations Act, ASIC regulations, and the National Consumer Credit Protection Act.
- Support treasury transactions, funding arrangements and securitisation matters, including coordination with external counsel.
- Oversee drafting, review and negotiation of loan agreements, vendor agreements and other contracts.
- Provide advice on risk management, corporate governance and internal policies.
- Manage disputes and external dispute resolution processes, engaging external counsel where required.
- Act as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders across lending, treasury and sales.
- A minimum of 6 years PQE gained in private practice or in-house, with solid financial services regulatory experience.
- Strong knowledge of lending, NCCP, consumer credit, AML/CTF and securitisation.
- In-depth understanding of Australian regulatory frameworks relevant to non-bank lenders and treasury operations.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- A proactive and solutions-focused approach, with the ability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- Full-time, permanent role based in Sydney.
