Key Responsibilities
As Legal Counsel, you will:
- Provide legal advice on life insurance, superannuation, and retirement products.
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements with partners and suppliers.
- Review disclosure documents and marketing material.
- Advise on a wide range of regulatory issues under the Corporations Act, Insurance Contracts Act, Life Insurance Act, and Superannuation laws.
- Assist with breach reporting, regulatory engagement, and remediation processes.
- Collaborate with senior lawyers and cross-functional teams on strategic projects.
You will be an Australian-admitted lawyer with:
- 3–5 years’ post-admission experience, ideally in financial services law.
- Strong knowledge of Chapter 7 of the Corporations Act and other relevant legislation.
- Experience with group life insurance, retirement products, investments, or commercial contracting will be highly regarded.
- A collaborative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to engage with senior stakeholders.
- A motivated and proactive approach, with excellent attention to detail.
