About the role
This is a newly created position within a growing Legal, Governance and Risk team. As Legal Counsel, you will work closely with senior lawyers and the General Counsel to provide high quality legal support across the Australian property business. The role will be broad in scope, with exposure to the full property lifecycle including development, leasing, acquisitions and disposals.

About you
You will be a property lawyer with 3-5 PQE gained in a reputable law firm and/or in-house environment. Experience across development, leasing and general property transactions will be highly valued.
You will be a proactive, commercially minded lawyer who enjoys collaborating with deal teams and internal stakeholders, but who is also comfortable working autonomously when required. Adaptability, attention to detail and strong communication skills are key.

- Advising on and preparing documentation for property development projects.
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing commercial and retail leases.
- Supporting property acquisitions, disposals and related transactions.
- Providing day-to-day commercial property advice to internal stakeholders.
- Assisting with broader corporate and governance matters as required.
About you
