We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join their Sydney-based team on a permanent basis - the position can be based in Sydney or Melbourne. This is a key role within a high-performing legal team, advising on complex, high-value investments that have a tangible impact on Australia’s economic and commercial landscape.
Having successfully placed multiple lawyers across this organisation, I can provide genuine insight into the culture, calibre of work and team dynamics, and will support you closely throughout the recruitment process.

About You
You will bring 6–8 years’ PQE gained in a top or mid-tier law firm, investment fund, private equity house or major financial institution. Strong experience advising on private equity, funds, corporate/M&A or structured investment transactions will be highly regarded.
You will have exceptional technical drafting and negotiation skills, sound commercial judgement, and the confidence to advise senior stakeholders on complex matters. A current Australian practising certificate is required.

- Lead the legal workstream for significant investment and corporate transactions, including private equity, fund investments and structured finance matters.
- Provide strategic legal and commercial advice on new investment opportunities, fund structures and joint ventures.
- Draft, review and negotiate sophisticated transaction documents across a range of complex investment and financing arrangements.
- Partner with senior executives, investment managers and external counsel to deliver commercially sound, pragmatic outcomes.
- Mentor and support junior lawyers within the team, contributing to a collaborative and high-performing culture.
